Re: AF05E Build Help

I have a spree 50 with the AF05E motor, and want a full performance package. pipe, carb, reedcage, intake, big bore, final gears, clutch springs, oil pump block off, cdi, and anything else needed. I have a lot of 2 stroke building experience, so the bigger, and most radical porting the better. I am...

So edit the picture smaller or use a real camera. Then again you could post the pic on Photo Bucket.

Re: 1985 Aero needin some help.

AF05E is the original motor. A picture would be worth a thousand words.

Re: 1985 Aero needin some help.

Almost all Honda motorcycle dealers have a web site, but I would not hold my breath for new being available.

Flea-bay and Craigslist other than here on this site.

Re: turn signals and headlight

The headlight only works when the engine is running. The turn signals is probably a weak battery.

Could be either OR both. Troubleshoot it. The service manual has the procedures in it.

Re: 85 just rode now won't start

The headlight is NOT suppose to come on until the engine is running, so there is nothing wrong there.

Check the battery and charging system. The checks are in the service manual.

Re: Trying to start 1983 Honda Aero 50 -- running out of ide

She'll start with 60 PSI. If you haven't, put some oil down the cylinder and recheck compression... rings may be stuck. Is the air filter in place? Search "barn find" in Wikipedia for general guidelines on getting dead bikes going. My 1985 Aero will not start at 60 PSI so I doubt his will.

Some Sprees run at 70 PSI and most will not.

Did you do the compression test with the throttle at WOT?

Re: Longer rear brake cable?

I found a slightly longer cable on flea-bay for my Aero 125 when I moved the rear brake from the floor to the lefthand handlebar. I messaged the seller for the cable length.
