My cousin was on my 87 Elite with 62cc kit and he went to take off on a trail in the woods....it pulled a wheelie on him and he ran straight into a tree. It was d*** funny.

an SE50 or a dio both do about 35mph stock. with amazing take off. on a light frame like an sb50, i would say 40mph. But! with a dio motor, for $110 you can do all of 50mph. Speed comes cheap with those motors. Due to newly found European parts connections the SE50 can be made just as quick for not...

I have an 87 SE50p motor that I could sell. I was looking for about $100 shipped. Make me an offer. It was running when it was removed. Things missing are the carb and the fan.
The SE50 motor has limited upgrades while the Dio motor you can do almost anything you want to do to it.

Dac is right, with the Honda motors that is. The fan sucks the air in from the shroud and directs it upward towards the head. It may be different with others.

Though you may see a slight increase at lower rpm's, once you get higher in the rpm's, the airflow becomes too great for a little fan or possibly even a leaf blower to keep up. You would have to see how many cfm's the spree motor draws at its peak rpm, and find something that would flow more air tha...

use this table here to convert drill # to a jet size....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drill_bit_sizes
Now, how to read it. Ex. A #64 drill bit would produce a jet size of 91 and a #70 a jet size of 71. Guage is your numbered drill bits and jet sizes are the metric values.

A main jet of 100 should be way too rich for any top speed on that bike. You can prolly hit 10mph?? Also, if your looking for body panels to make this thing nice, as your other post stated, dont go a trash them by doing wheelies and laying it down. These are hard to come by for this year. I know, I ...

First, #3 is not necessary. Second, sounds like your battery is dead. It is engaging the starter solenoid(the pop noise) but doesnt have enough juice to turn the starter motor(the buzzing noise). If you have a bettery charger, charge it a few hours on a trickle charge. Or, buy a new one.

Do not drill that hole out! It will not run correctly if you do, trust me, Ive done it. Just clean it and try to get your string through. What I did was found a wire brush and plucked a wire out of it and used that to push through the hole.

When I had a Spree as a kid, I was going around a corner, and a van was coming from the other way turning, he cut all the way into the corner not seeing me and nearly ran me over. I actually had to put my hands on his van to keep from falling over.

It will tension itself. That back pulley should pull it tight. The back pulley has a spring that pushes the two pulley halves together and forces the pulley outward, this is what auto-tensions your belt. If your belt is loose, then you most likely need a new belt. Double check that your rear pulley ...
