Just a thought, if you got the same kit is me, it doesnt dound like it, but did you make sure the piston went in the right way? my kit had one side of the piston with ports, so it was important to install right, if not, I would say upjet, what size jet are you running now?

Using a Cycle Computer
Hey, I was wondering If anybody has installed a Bike Computer on their scooter for Speed readout, You could easily install the magnet on the rim and receiver on the forks, but Would it be accurate on such a small tire at about 55mph max? My Aero pegs at about 44, and I need a different speed readout...

Yep, that is the guy, oh well. I want to get the carb from him I think, as his carb comes with reeds, intake, and air filter, where as if I get one from VT cycles, it is hald the price, but it does not come with any of that I dont think. What size should I get do you guys think to feed the 70cc? The...

The guy I bought my 70cc kit from had a lot of performance parts for the aero, I just need to contact him. I am also going to get a bigger carb to feed the bigger engine, and get the thing moving.

Yeah, its an 86, the closeup pic of the engine I did not have the kickstart on, but it is on on the other pics. 85 did not have a kickstart, the original case that was on it was not the right one, the kickstart case was not on it for some reason, but I painted and put it on. But its for sure an 86. ...

My Aero 50 Complete
I havent posted on this board since about late last fall, dont know if you guys remember me, I was restoring an 86 Honda Aero 50 that we have had since 86, I have a lot of questions about aftermarket exhaust, and the 70cc kit, and painting. Question on jet size

Thanks!
Thanks!

Ok after hours of frustration, I finally got it running! it sounds great (outer crank bearing was FRIED) and crank was bent. Put in new parts, fired right up, and nice and quiet. It still seems low on power, either that or I am just too used to my aero, but say you stand up and floor it and hold bac...

Yeah, i used the one with the gradual drop, because I am thinking that is is made for the domed pistons, because the horn shaped one is flatter on the edges, and maybe the domed piston could hit easier? the gradual drop one drops the same from the edges to the plug hole, and would have more clearanc...

Ok I just bought a ton of spree parts from a guy, so parts will not be an issue. How do I go about checking the crank?
If I turn the crank and it binds at a certain spot every time, does that mean the crank is bent?

piston
picked up a piston for 85 spree from a honda dealer today, it is domed. Also, I have several heads for a spree, and I noticed that there is a difference in the part where the top of the piston comes up to on the stroke, under the spark plug (best I can explain it) 1 is shaped like a horn, slight dro...
