Are you aware of any mods available for this?
I have a few extra new rear tires as well.

Re: Carb leaking problem.....STILL!!!!

CharlotteSpreeRider,
I was wondering how the carb worked out that I sent you.
I benched checked the carb with liquid, to check for a good seal. It passed.
Let me know how it performs.

Thanks, greg

Re: Different Spree carbs for different years?

The only difference I've seen( several hundred) is some have a 68 main jet and some have a 65 main jet. They are interchangeable.

Re: 86 Spree not getting fuel

I offer a leak check tool that I fabricated. It fits in the spark plug hole and smoke is pushed in the motor via a tube, Slowly turn motor over by hand and plug the exhaust with finger. Smoke will appear at the leaking point: reeds, crank seals, carb, or manifold seals, head gaskets, bottom of jug, ...

Re: Questions re: bystarter clip placement and bystarter O-rings

I've seen many a carbs that someone used the longer mounting bolt that belongs on the inside, but used it on the outside and compressed the bolt into the by-starter area,
Smash! Stuck by-starter piston.
Be sure to use the right bolts, there are two different lengths.

Re: 86 spree acceleration issues

You could put an impact wrench on the crank nut and spin it to start, but first remove the Bendix before attempting this.

Re: '86 Spree will not kick over

You may have a after market by-starter.
They don't fit very well.
A bad by-starter could cause hard cold starts.
