Has anyone actually installed this and found it to be a viable alternative to a bystarter?

Re: 86 Spree swap from an 87 Elite! Need some input
Are you still running this spree? How is your shock mount holding up?
I'm about to do an se50/se05 swap into my spree and am weighing my options for shock mounts.

So you weld where the holes were drilled, not around the circumference of the cut?

New automotive program SOCAL
Hey everyone. I just thought i'd share a program I just recently came across for those who are interested in working in the high performance aftermarket industry. If you're like me, you've been frustrated with automotive education options (ex. don't want to be a service tech working on minivans all ...

Woo Hoo!! Just scored a VF500F!!!
Im about to pick up a Vf500F interceptor from a friend in LA this weekend. It appears being a gearhead has it's advantages. http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~john/vfr/specs/pics/86-vf500f.jpg First I was offered the Spree since my uncle figured I could fix it. Now a friend's gf offered me her old VF500F cuz s...

San Diego to San Francisco trip
I've been playing around with the idea of putting a Spree trip to go from Del Mar to Golden Gate Bridge. I mean people do it on bikes all the time, so why not on a scooter? I figure at least two Sprees with freshened engines/clutches/brakes/tires. MSR bottles carrying emergency reserves of fuel in c...

i think a custom windshield will help out tremendously...keep the wind off your core. the only part that gets cold for me are my hands and neck/chin...other than that it's easy to cover with warm wind blocking clothes. sheets of lexan (from home depot) are cheap and easy to bend with a heat gun. I'd...

Actually, the route to school isn't so bad...There's a seperate bike trail for 90 percent of the route-and the rest have pretty good bike lanes. So far any gesticulation i get is usually a thumbs up from a superbike dude. A suggestion for you Jim, Try fitting a thrift shop baby seat to the back of y...

took the spree to school for the first time!
well after a week of waiting for parts, refreshing the scooter, and finding out you don't need to register a spree(i called the local pd)- I finally took it to school and back. I'm so excited now that i know i can reliably ride this thing to school and back! I want to thank the forum for all the inf...
