Why different spark plugs for 84-85 vs. after 85?

Noticed that there are different plugs listed in the manuals for Sprees after 1985 models. They added an "A" at the end. The plug books say the "A" stands for "Special Application". Does anyone know what the physical difference is in these plugs and why they would chang...

Thanks for the replies, guys. I only get to work on this thing on the weekends so it may be a while til I get back with you. I am thinking about taking the muffler off and seeing if it will rev up with it off. I know 2 strokes normally need a bit of back pressure. Think it will run ok just for a few...

probably try it this week.

This is acting a lot like my weedwacker when the exhaust screen is plugged up. Could the muffler be that full. How could I tell. It is heavy as all get out.

Well, ended up today getting her going. I think I was still hydrolocking, it was still spitting out a lot of oil from the plug hole so I just worked and worked and finally got a putt or two and then she started. Good news, right? Well, yes and no.........it won't rev up for beans. Can get it up to 1...

It is for a stock Spree. I guess I'll just go ahead and order from Honda. Thought for sure there would be after market stuff at more reasonable prices but maybe not...............thanks

clutch "weights"/shoes

Anyone know where I can get the clutch shoes (3) relined or buy them reasonably. The only place I can find them is at my local Honda store for $50.00 and they have to order them. Looked online but so far found nothing. thanks
