Re: Motor mount options for SE50 motor into spree?

So I just trimmed a '87 Aero motor mount up and used it like T-Jamz did in the wiki. The 'arms' that connect the tubes that hold the bolts are a little wider, so the left one gets trimmed a bit, not a problem structurally but when you're doing the cutting by hand with a hacksaw its a little annoying...

Anyone rain proof a pod filter?

Winter is fast approaching here in the PNW and I'm hoping to make my swapped spree rideable in wet weather. I believe the stock af05 airbox will not fit under the spree plastics, so this leaves me searching for ways to water shield the pod filter I currently have installed. Has anyone successfully d...

Re: Motor mount options for SE50 motor into spree?

So does your '87 Aero mount have a neck on it that fits into the frame tube?

I have a '85 Aero mount, but it is just flat like in the parts fiche pic you posted.

Re: Motor mount options for SE50 motor into spree?

Totally forgot about the wiki

So does anyone know if it has to be a '87 SE50 mount or would a '88-'93 elite mount work as well?

Motor mount options for SE50 motor into spree?

So I have a 87 SE50 motor swapped into my spree. I turned the spree's motor mount around and used old roller weights for spacers, which works but causes a vibration when the rear suspension compresses (part of the motor comes down and touches a metal part of the mount). I'm also not 100% sold on the...

Re: spree engine swap

The electrical matched with the 85 aero motor for me. You'll need to move the shock mount and either re-use the spree motor mount (as I did) or get a 88-93 Elite mount and trim it a little bit for fit. Lastly, the center stand has to come out, so if you don't always want to be leaning it on stuff yo...

Re: Vino BBK jetting & oil pump?

Thanks for the help!

The vino was bogging with the #85, but after I de-snorkeled the airbox everything worked out. My buddy is super psyched to come pick his scooter up later today, and your advice helped big time.

Vino BBK jetting & oil pump?

So I'm helping a buddy put a 70cc kit on his vino and am hoping someone can give me some guidance on the jetting. We'll be keeping the stock carb & airbox, but the exhaust is a LV ZX (he bought it new from the dealer with this pipe 10 yrs ago). I've read pipe + kit = #85 main jet, but now I'm th...

Re: will elite wheel, fit spree front forks, with metro hub br

The metro axels are wider than an Aero/Elite, so unless Sprees are also wider (doubtful) this won't work without modding the hub.

Re: New info on ethanol as a fuel.

Wow, blast from the past thread. Still stand by everything negative I said before about ethanol before, but there is some hope for renewable liquid fuels: http://arstechnica.com/science/2013/12/algae-go-in-biocrude-oil-comes-out/ While the whole ethanol thing isn't helping, the fact is that petroleu...
