New nitrogen enriched fuel
So I heard about this new nitrogen enriched fuel made by Shell. Apparently the nitrogen is supposed to destroy carbon buildup, etc. I thought some of the more experiened motorists could clue us in to the legitimacy or possible benefits of using this fuel in our scoots. Could this help clean out that...

Re: Spree Paint Project and restoration pics
I don't have a lot of time/access/money to get really good paint, so we're just using rostoleum. i wantedto use the krylon fusion for plastics, but they didn't have the colors we wanted and they don't make primer that i could find. all of the cans say "no primer necessary"

Re: Custom Decals!
i think that would be neat to make something like that. but just FYI it's hard to get stuff like that going on the forum... we had people start stickers before, I did t-shirts, and other people have tried other things... i suggest finding people up front and only paying to have enough made to cover ...

Re: New rubber floor mats (possible)
what about attaching a spacer of some sort and a nice magnet to the underside, so that you can just lay it down and it'll snap onto the floorboard bolts? Would that be workable? That way you'd get the nice clean look in your pics and it would still hold firmly to the bike. I would be interested in o...

Re: Do you recommend the aero 50?
I've had my 84 for a year and I love it. I agree that part of the reason is the styling, part of it is that its my first scoot, part of it that the thing is zippy as * and tops out at about 35-38 (42 downhill  scared the s*** out of me) Of course I sometimes wish I could upgrade and make it a...

I saw some of those on a Chinese website but I couldn't read it. My Chinese is so rusty  They appeared to be just hard plastic that was held by pressure between rim and tire. I don't know if Carp is talking about the same thing, and they were way more expensive. Please do keep us updated on th...

I will let you know Bradthreee. I'm gonna be out of town when they arrive probably but my Dad is going to check for the package for me. Today's update: getting rattle can off of the legshield is the biggest PITA. I got everything except for the front fender and speedo area prepped. I think that fend...

KD's are nice, biker style from the 50s, they make them clear and in sunglasses. I have sunglasses and they're cheap and nice, small design with a whole lot of peripheral vision. Found mine on Ebay

Re: Spree Paint Project and restoration pics
she has a majority vote  to set off the white wall tires. Wasn't one of the rusty bits you painted the shock forks? It seems that those would travel up and down wearing off the paint pretty quick. I honestly have no idea so could be way off base. Every wife has a majority vote. You got whitew...

can you give some more details? What happens when you try to start it? If it does start what are the symptoms of the poor running? that will help people diagnose your problem and offer some solutions.

Spree Paint Project and restoration pics
So as some of you may remember, I just recently got a new Spree for my wife that was in less than mint condition. We started tearing her down and prepping for paint while waiting on some parts to arrive. Since it's so cool for me to watch people's projects unfold, I thought I'd share some pictures. ...

aside from stealing one, there are a multitude of legal problems with utilizing milkcrates... many are printed with warnings that using them for a purpose other than their intention when manufactured is against the law... I kid you not.

i am sitting down with a soldering iron and some extra plastic and welding all the cracks and holes in the inner fairing. As well i am probably going to strip everything down to the frame and get it all super clean. but who am i kidding, once we get in the "hunny do list" will probably st...
