I am rebuilding a 86 spree. I got it to run decent from 0-15. No Top End.

I still need an air filter, currently there is no air filter and the cover is off, will this cause it to bog down by getting too much air?

my spree will try to run on ether. It has a new plug and is wet so it is getting fuel. What else can I look for or test.

If I don't have a spark after checking the plug, what should I look for next if the plug is wet and getting fuel.

I have unscrewed the plug and kicked the kick starter, no spark, is there another way.
