I have a 2001 elite with racing variator and this weekend I got my r1 installed. It was only hitting about 35 after installed the muffler so I was told it was probably just way lean. I cleaned the carb thoroughly, and drilled out main jet to .889mm. At first it wouldnt run so i jumped it with my car...

using previous advice based on my set up they strongly suggested I get a larger main jet for my 2001 elite with r1 pipe/racing variator. Clear or different colored tail lights/turn signals/etc? My next task I wanna tackle after I get done with my moped is maybe some clear turn signals and brake lights. I only ask because the start up costs would be expensive any perhaps i could re coup some by selling some here.

Proper jet size
2001 elite. new variator/weights/r1 muffler/ oil pump is tied open. Now Im not 100% about this whole jet business. Runs well hits a little over 40. Im assuming it needs to be bigger perhaps someone could enlighten me if im wrong? what size should it be at? Is my engine gonna be ok without rejetting?...

how do you think it would look if you glued the 2 pieces together and put a little body filler in between then to make it look as if it was one whole piece? pros cons suggestions?
