gasket prep/

So when i put the top end back together, do I oil up the cylinder gasket, or just put it on dry? I know it will get some oil on it when i lube the piston to get the jug back on........

Can someone please tell me if the "T" on the rings points up towards the top of the piston? Also, can you link me to the engine removal help? :D

I have a dead lump Spree and I haven't given up on it yet...and he said money was no object for parts, which are pretty cheap for a twenty year old scoot, Plus try finding a running scooter on craig or 'bay right now! Very few Hondas or Yamahas..I will not buy one of those $ 699 out of the crate GY6...

If you can run on one ring, I should be able to run on a new bottom ring and the old top ring. Guess I wasn't using enough oil= I will use more next try. stubborn spree part deux

Got the new parts,rings and gaskets, spent two hours trying to put the jug back on with no luck :oops: My patience has run out trying to get this thing to start. should I take it to a repair shop and bite the bullet or throw the engine in a box, and send it to one of you to fix it? :?:

I just got mine from cheapcycleparts ,com BUT they didnt have the paper
(lower) cylinder gasket,,,,hmmm wonder if I can use oil soaked construction paper or similar???
