If that's the case... You can probably tell if you crank it a few times with your thumb over the intake to see if gas flows out, right?Dac wrote:if the carb is really super clean and this is happening, i would have to think that maybe the gas line is clogged. Not sure, but its an idea.

Re: Help scooter guru's...won't stay running
I'm not a guru, but it sounds like a lack of compression.

Are there any other ways to get the front pulley off other than an impact gun?

I'm going to keep a log on this forum about my scooter and all of it's mods. I bought the bike thinking it'd only need a CDI, but turns out the head was destroyed so my adventure began there. I purchased a 75cc Big Bore kit from eBay and a bunch of swag from VT Cycles. Maybe this will help some noob...

Painting Rims...
Anyone paint their rims on an Elite? It looks like my paint is chipping, any recommendations on types of paint/preparation? I want to paint them black or gunmetal.

Anyway, I plan on getting a bore kit, anyone know the cheapest route to get this thing back in action? Oh and when I got ho...

i personally would skip the pipe and just get some gears. highspeed pulley and 9:1 gears would get you 50mph. And it keeps your bike nice and quiet. I think I saw someone in here running 8.44:1... is that too much for a stock motor? These 9.1:1 gears would work right?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...
