Also why wouldn't an air box mod work on a Spree today? Used to make a noticeable difference back in the day. Just curious. Guys have had a hard time getting modified airboxes / pod filters to work with the stock scoots. So you were porting the carb... any guidelines on how much material to remove ...

That`s how most people do it, but porting out the manifold will get better take off and a 1/2 belt will do the same thing as a bigger tire. Drilling 2 baffels from the pipe helps and air box mods on a spree dont work today Does 1/2 belt mean 1/2" wide belt? What's the original application? Goo...

The only drawback to doing the swap in my opinion, is that the suspension on the Spree feels unsafe compared to a larger bike like an Elite S/SR.
