This same thing happened to me with my Aero. My bystarter is bad tho. So what I did was take out the needle assembly from the bystarter, unplugged it from the power, and put the bystarter back onto the carb just so that I don't have to find something to plug the hole where the bystarter sits. OK, so I have my Aero running again, but I've been thinking...with the bystarter out, am I running rich? The scoot don't bog down or seem to lose power, but since the bystarter isn't closing off some fuel off once running, is that cuasing me to run rich? I was thinking of moving the jet needle clip ...

Update... OK, so my bystarter is bad, but I was able to take the cylinder and needle off the bystarter, unplugged it from the positive & negative wires, and placed it back onto the carb. Fires up right away! Tuned the idle screw and air screw and it runs great! I don't want to take it on long ri...

OK, I made sure the plugs will stay. It's starts and runs cool. check for a restricter place. Remove it if it has one.

I know I had to that for my friend's metropolitan. I don't know if the Sprees have them or not.

I plugged the vaccum part of the petcock and plugged the vaccum part of the carb. She started right up!

Now my question is, will this harm my engine in anyway with the vaccum plugged at the carb?
