Also check to see if the O ring on bystarter is good. I had a worn O ring on my 84 Aero and it had a hard time starting. Went to Home Depot and got a #10 O ring from thier plumbing department and now my scooter starts everytime!

Try adjusting the needle. I had a similar problem and I moved the needle down 1 notch (running a little richer) and I readjusted the throttle stop and fuel screws and it fixed my problem.

I also would like to add:

If you have the brake lever in and it still won't start, check the inline fuse on the positive (+) battery cable...mine was blown and my push start would not start the bike. Luckily I have a kick starter!

Even when CA didn't have a mandatory helmet law, I wore one when on my streetbike, cruiser, dirt bike, and now my Aero. And I always use a fullface helmet!

it's still a work in progress...I want it to go faster, and thanks to this site, I have the knowledge that I can give it some GO power!

Right now it's the designated "go get beer" mobile! LOL!
