Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
Im afraid to run it. I just find it odd that after 2 years of running great the motor would just give up. I have yet to take the motor apart that will not start to see whats wrong with it and that scooter is tucked way back in storage anyways so it will have to wait till next year anyways. I have th...

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
So I got my hands on a 1984 Honda Aero 80 that was missing all the plastics and had been sitting for about 5 years. Got it home and removed the carb off my orange 85, put it on and it started right up. I went for a drive and everything felt great! I only went around the block but as I was about to c...

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
Could this cause low compression as well? If so I think I know what my next move is.MrJumps wrote:"Reeds are tasty" said the little honda that probably could and a little more
Sounds like you may have poped a crank seal out see if the one under your variator is popped out or it has a hole in it.

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
So I spent some time on it today and went right after the reed valve as I have not ordered the tool to pull the crank pulley off yet. Everything looks to be fine other than one of the reeds sits just off the plastic but when pushed on sat right into place. I took it apart and everything looked great...

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
Can do. Was your 85 a Aero 50 or 80? If it was a 80 did the http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-Dio-ZX-Jo ... 1205770910 kit do anything noticeable as far as top speed and acceleration and what else was needed to make it work?

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
Thanks for the links. I think im going to buy the fly wheel puller and wait till that comes in before trying to pull the flywheel. Im afraid im going to just pull the threads out of the cooling fan mount. Ill take a look at the reed valve well im waiting for the tool to arrive. Thanks a bunch for th...

Re: 1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
This helps me in no way, shape, or form but I have to admit you are right they made the NH80's for 3 years. However if you take the time and know your Aero's you would know that the 1985 is nothing like the 1983 or 1984. I own a 1984 and a 1985 Aero 80 and if you like I could take a side by side pic...

1985 Aero 80 (Rare 1 year made) Quit Running
What it did So I was driving my Aero and it has run great for 2 years now after a full restore and I just quit running on me. I was on my way to the beach and was about 20 minutes into a drive doing about 40 mph and it just shuts off. I pull off the side of the road and it started right back up so I...

Re: 89 Elite E not running quite right
I pulled off the vacuum line to the fuel tank valve and put a vacuum to it and the vacuum held. When I pull off the fuel line without vacuum and it still flows fuel so im pretty sure that valve is stuck open but the float valve is doing its job by not letting it over flow the carb. If you are talkin...

Re: 89 Elite E not running quite right
Why Hello. I thought bad fuel valve thats why I put in a clear fuel filter and its always full. All new fuel lines after fuel filter. Cleaned out carb 3 times and that included cleaning the float valve. Exhaust is not obstructed as it will get up to full speed and it runs great on starting fluid. I ...

I have a 1989 Honda Elite E with a SB50P that I have now owned for about 5 years. The last 2 years it just never ran right and now its all done running even close to right. This thing will start right up after the first kick even after sitting for 5 months. The thing is once you take off its fine fo...

I dont know a whole lot about Handa sprees or any of there scooters but I have been reading alot about drilling the exhaust and you were only supose to drill though 2 baffels. If you driled all the way though the whole thing then you no longer have enough back pressure to run porperly. As for portin...
