Broke my piston ring...and Wiring Help (PICS)

Well I was working on my spree bright and early this morning ready for a days ride. I had all my topend parts to replace. Piston went in fine with connecting rod bearing and pin w/ c-clips. Everything was oiled well. I had my rings in right, I believe (silver on top and black on bottom-on top of ext...

Like I said, I have a 63 and a 65 C102. Restored they are worth about $600-800 tops, depends on the person looking. I just sold my '68 CM91, (much more rare) and restored for $800. They are good bikes, tough as nails...but they shift sloppy and tend to be hard to find parts for. One of my bikes blew...

Alright, that answers my question. So they (meaning top and bottom) require NO RACE. Only packed balls in sitting in the bearing cup, correct?

Fork Bearings, *!

I have ordered bearings for my front fork on my spree from the honda dealer online part # 96211-05000 and they show the whole bearing assembly for $1. I keep receiving just one ball. I'm *, where can I buy the whole bearings? I can't even put the fork on, and one little pinch size ball for a dollar....

I've got a few C102's (1960's Honda 50cc Cubs,) might be the same line of bike. If so check your serial number next to the engine and search yahoo groups. There are several groups dedicated to these bikes and will let you know all you need...they have manuals in their file selection.

Man, your story is a lot more dramatic than mine. I don't buy anthing on ebay over $500 b/c of that. That's a * of a lot of hassle! Funny thing is, that the man keeps calling me back. He must have somewhat of a conscience...I don't have anything to say to him.

right, I'm with you now. I didn't see any markings on piston rings for "t" so I guess it doesn't matter which side. I'm afraid that the lower ring might clear the pin sitting on the extender, maybe not compression in the bore.

I ordered the piston ring set and didn't get a pin only two rings and an expander. I mean the top ring (silver) fits good but the bottom ring with expander is kind of loose as it slides around on expander. I'd really like to get this straight, the top end is all new and I can't afford to do this aga...

I just put the expander in the 2nd groove, easily went in since it is so thin. Then just popped the bottom ring on top of it in the groove. Is it that simple? It justs makes the bottom ring stand out of the groove more so than the top. It was too easy, did I do it correctly?

I just noticed the same wheels (finned hub is the give-away) on a Chinese Velocity 50cc today, by chance. So I'm assuming these are common on most of the new cheaper, drum brake,k nockoff asian imports?

People these days..story..*sigh*

This afternoon, I drove over an hour from my house to look at a 2001 Yamaha Vino on craigslist that a man quoted me $300 on. I called him and talked over the phone about a few subjects, he didn't seem too intelligent. I told him I could come if I get off work early. So I did take off around 2:30. I ...

I like it, only thing is that white paint shows dirt and grease or any little imperfection quite easily. I like the two-tone vespa kind-a-look!

Strange Spree Piston Rings?

I've got the STD rings from Honda for my Spree, but one has a silver ring and other is standard looking. Also the third has a octagonal shape and is a thin ring. How do each fit into piston?
