It only pulls to 40mph if I hold the throttle in the exact same place and slowly give it more gas.

got an in-line filter already.

The vacuum lines are brand new, I already ran a plug check and it's cocoa-brown. my airfilter is clean and is oiled like it should be. I have yet to clean my carb again but this is the 7th time in the past 3 months.

Well, on the way back home I hit 40mph but it didn't cut out this time. and it was downhill so I guess that was part of it. I think it might be my petcock giving out.

Can anybody recommend me a good guide to making a vacuum shut off? getting a new petcock is 60 bucks.

I hit 40mph on my 86 spree before the engine backfired, a huge stream of fire came out the back, and then my petcock broke.

need to find a new one or create a vacuum shut off.

Anybody know the grippiest tire possible? I've been cornering really hard and losing grip in my back tire.

To give you an idea about how hard I'm cornering, my fairings have been scraping the ground.

Got it at 3070 miles and after 2 weeks, it's around 3400. I replaced the sparkplug, drilled out one baffle in the exhaust, painted the wheels white, and de-glazed the brakepads. Also put in GN2 oil in it.

The problem is that it does this when it's about 7/8ths full.

Mine sometimes comes after I hit a bunch of bumps or try to do wheelies.

Is this normal?

I didn't notice a difference.

I can sort of do wheelies now on my spree. I just feel really scared and put it back down after 5 feet.

I sit really far back, not on the rack but far back. Let my legs hang off the side. Rev to 10mph and then bring up the front while ripping the throttle.

Update:

I've been hitting 29mph on flats. Less WOT and more of a smooth acceleration.

Going to use some seafoam.
