So I want to work on my scooter and after moving out, I didn't have my dad's tools. I left my job at the auto shop so no tools there. And now my friend has moved and I used to use his tools.

To work on my scooter, specifically rebuilding the engine, what would I need?

I'm the 3rd owner of mine and everybody took care of it but the only reason people sold it was so the next owner could have fun so it's always been sold at $500 and the last 2 owners still ride it every once in a while although it's a bit faster now.

Do they even make anything for a 1986 Honda Spree cause all I see are zumas, vinos, and elite sr's...

umm, I'm probably going to inspect it first and take photos. I actually ride at 35mph more than i ride at stock speed now but it still stutters and dies. I am going to rebuild the engine this weekend. Any guides on how to do it and anything I should replace when I take it apart?

it's normal. have you tried topping it off with oil and then doing the same? it shouldn't go on.

Anybody live in the south bay in CA? Maybe they could take a look at this because I just can't figure out what's wrong. Just got a new petcock but don't know if it's the correct sizing.

I'm pretty sure I do although my friend, who I bought it from, helped me do some restoration work on it and he told me that he had already cleaned it and that it was a b**** to oil.

how can i fix it then? it seems like everything else is in working order.

So I have no improvement and it hit 35mph yesterday and then quit out on me but once it dropped down to 15mph, I was lucky enough to get it back to working.

so how soon will i see improvements cause right now, after 30 minutes of waiting around, it only went 23mph, 25mph downhill.
