Re: Welding gas tank
If you are worried about running out of gas, just do what one guy on here(dont remember who) said, fill a cheap hip flask with gasoline, maybe paint it red to comply with DOT regs. Re: 85 spree carb and 87 aero carb
I dunno about yours but the torch tip cleaner set I have is far to large to work on idle jets found on full size bikes, let alone a 50. If you used one you may have reamed out the idle jet WAY too rich. We are talking about a precise hole maybe .005" across.

Re: 85 spree carb and 87 aero carb
Fill the tube with carb cleaner, let it soak for hours, then pluck a single wire from a fine wire brush, use it to clear the jet. Remember the jet-carb hole is offset so odds are it will never go all the way through, but should pass fluid.

Re: 86 Spree will not start.
Sounds like you might have toasted the starter earlier. How long were you cranking at a time? How long of a break did you give it? The automobile self starter became possible when engineers realized it only needed a very short duty cycle(or in other words, starters are only meant to crank a good 2 m...

I'm not sure what you mean by that. If you mean the steering bearings are loose, they are adjustable, see my guide.

Re: Correct way to clean spark plugs??
I have cleaned fouled plugs by getting em red hot and letting them cool slowly, they rarely last for long though. It's easier and far more reliable to buy a new one.
