Oh, you can ohm test this?

I will check that out tomorrow morning. I'll also take pics of mine and describe what its doing, cuz it moves in when you press on it, like the needle and brass piece have a spring on it, and the needle moves inward, inside the brass piece.

I was fixing it to sell it, but after having so much fun taking these apart, i'm thinking i'll just say screw the $400 I mighta gotten for it, and keep it. Maybe swap an elite motor into it.

I've been thinking of selling it for a year now. lol

Well maybe 5 minutes wasn't enough, but i measured before and after and it didn't move at all.

I'll try 10 minutes and see if that does it.

Hmmm, guess I could start taking apart my elite and spree and weight the motor/trans, and the rest of the bikes. that's a lot of work though. :p

Well doesn't the bigger rear tire of the elite help stabilize the bike at higher speeds?

Anybody know what makes the elite so much heavier?

When you say you should have bolted the shock mount, do you mean drilling holes through the frame and bolting your 1.5" mount to it, instead of welding your 1.5" mount to the frame?

Can you swap an elite motor and or trans into a spree?

Okay, this probably is covered better elsewhere, BUT, can you swap in a elite motor and trans into a spree without having to make frame alterations? I know, I know, "ANYTHING CAN BE DONE WITH ENOUGH MONEY OR PATIENCE". Has anybody done this and covered it in another thread? I was just movi...

I painted the walls and ceiling white, installed 5 cool start double 4 foot fixtures, all new conduit, dedicated breaker for the compressor. Its kinda messy...

When a bystarter goes bad does it just stay moved out, with an extended needle? I tested mine, does it matter which wire is ground and which is positive? the needle was 3/8ths of an inch extended from the other brass looking cylinder when cold, and again 3/8ths after supplying power to it. Where do ...

HOLY CRAP. It was the filter box. I had it hooked up to the carb but I didn't have the filter in, or the lid on. Just threw the filter back in, snapped the lid shut, WOT, and she ran like a charm. Thank you guys for trouble shooting this problem with me. Learn something every day. Now I just gotta g...
