Hey Doug, It's really nice out now too bad i have exams all next week then finals..but maybe after finals (may 7th) we can finish up my elite? i think i got the right line this time so it should be ready to go as soon as the carbs back on. Let me know what you think and if you would be able to help ...

IT FIXED ITSELF! does 27-30 downhill now but i still have the metal clashing sounds when im at full speed sounds like when you shake up a spray paint can..someone said it was my clutch? what kind of labor am i looking at? is it the same procedure as the SA50? and what about price wise whats a good p...

Thanks, and yeah i did d/l the spree manual thats why i couldn't find the screws at first but i found them. Which lines are you talking about? is there a manual specific to the SB50P? thats the one i have.

i did that and saw a few hairline cracks right before the boot between the rubber protector,i didnt check anywhere else. I asked at the dealer and its like $55 for a wire and coil new. Anywere i can get a new one cheaper than that?

Well the other day i played with the air fuel screw and the idle screw on the SB50 is it 1 3/8th turn or 1 and 7/8th for the air fuel screw? I also ordered a new filter element so Tuesday when it comes in ill make sure to pick up a different plug just to see if it runs better. The plug wire conditio...

Same thing happens i just tried it, i got it to almost 25 down hill but it just keeps holding back it bucks a little sometimes...could this be the clutch or pads? its the SB50P if that helps.

Found them today it was just hiding, my air screw i turned out 1 and 3/8th turn like the manual said after making sure it was tight (not too tight) and i changed the plug, (which ended up being the wrong plug so i put the old one back in) added some GN2, and looked at the air filter which was clean ...

i put the old one back in and it does the same thing its almost like its holding back, it gets to 15 real nice then barely gets to 20 and aother thing when i was taking off the old plug it was loose! not even tightened all the way i unscrewed it with my fingers so this whole time it was doin 29 mph ...

okay ill check again, is this the same for an elite?

edit: i just noticed the guy at the dealer gave me a BPR6HS plug, instead of the BPR6HSA could this have something to do with it?

Yeah that makes sense, i looked at the picture again and i cant find the air/idle screw. Do you have an actual picture of it? in the manual the picture of the air filter cover doesnt look like the one i have.

thats what i was going by but it looked like i found the right screw or else the screw is missing on mine. I did a plug chop and it was half soaked like a black color and the other half was like new stll, also after changing the plug it now smokes a little and it never did that before. The screw i m...

Put in new plug now only 20 MPH

I put in a new plug on my 89 elite 50 and added some gn2 and now its only getting up to 20 MPH barely. I also tried to find the air mix screw because the rear wheel would start to move pretty fast at idle but cant seem to find it, i thought i found it but once i loosened the screw a little some gas ...
