Mines an 86 with 4300 miles on it. My moms boss gave it to her and she gave it to me, so I nick named it the Honda free. All I had to do was rebuild it. I flooded the motor with the 68 jet, I'll try it again after I port it. Thats good that you have the 1986, that means you should have the dome sty...

Dude, I have three sprees and I have done as much as possible and the gains are very small. Make sure you have the #68 jet in the carb after all your changes. What year is your Spree?

I went to AutoZone and picked up the small brake hone. I have done four cylinders with the same stones. Put the hone in a cordless drill and have at it. I get a nice cross hatch every time.

First I used goo gone on the decals, then I sanded with some 200 grit to smooth out the rough areas. Then I scuffed up everything with some brown scotch brite, next I wiped it clean with some paint thinner. Sprayed a light coat of primer, then hit it the flat black. Now my son wants the other painte...

I have not modded the pulley or put on a wider belt, but the motor does not seem rpm limited to me on none of my S...

HMMMMMMMM, seems like KeithW added a 3mm bore kit to his Spree and noticed no gains in performance. He did notice a nasty vibration due to the much heavier piston.

Time to replace the rings, and a cylinder hone job.
