I still run the hose from the intake to the petcock, just to make sure I dont run into a lean issue. It has no effect on the flow of petrol.

I have found a great cure for myself for the malfunctioning petcock. First I went to the hardware store and bought some 3/16" id clear fuel line, a lawnmower type fuel filter with 1/4" barbs, a lawnmower type fuel shutoff with 1/4 " barbs, and one hose clamp. Total cost is around $10....

im not gonna put a wider belt on it yet but i did get one and i think it may get me moving 30 maby 35 but the performance pipe i made from a pocket bike pipe make it have verry fast take off That is too wide of a spread to hope for.
