Nice idea, won't work so it's better not to waste your money unless you want to. Your goal will be better found at the front pulley.

I know you may already know this but make sure that by raising the needle you are moving the clip down.

I never really liked Powerjet type carbs, even though this is an adjustable one I look at it like now you have to deal with 3 jets instead of just 2. I would not use a Dial A Jet on my own personal bike as I know how to tune the carb based on changing situations, but I think the DAJ option is more u...

The bogging you're feeling "like it's running out of gas" is due to over abundance of air. When it's that cold, the air density rises significantly to the point where it's running too lean.

Yeah, the buckets/pails don't cost a lot, they're about the size of a gallon can but there's about 75% of it in solvent. I have a parts washer that I've been using for 3 years now.

The Boyesen Power Reeds for the DIO engine are 2 stage reeds, much like dirt bikes.

Oh boy, let's see if I can clear some of this up. Keep in mind that I still do suggest that you see a professional but I'd like to know more if you'd just answer my questions. 1. Are you premixing or are you using the oil injector (thus oil tank)? 2. What exact brand of oil (brand name and type) did...

Reeds often improve low end (part throttle) response, rarely have I seen reeds make a difference up top. I've tried carbon fiber reeds in the past and I couldn't tell the difference between it and stock reeds. I have seen MANY CF reeds fail in a short time from 1 week to a month. I don't like using ...

Jog motors and their clones are decent engines. It really boils down to price of the parts and how much you're looking to pay to reach your goals. Jog parts are expensive where I'm at and not easy to get. In terms of major modding, the big time Jogs have destroyed built up DIO's.

In some cases this will work but it may not work on every gearset. It's good that it worked in your case though. Most of the time I suggest to some to take it to any shop with a press, they'll likely do it for free (to press off and to press back on the new gear). I don't charge my customers to pres...

Not to sound rude but you need to see and pay a professional. A stator isn't hard to take off. Your oil thread alone is proof that a professional will be a better choice for you.

Kenny, he stated that he's running lean on the oil. I'm guessing it's because he's using a combination of 4 stroke oil with 2 stroke oil which results in a ton of smoke, so he's choosing to use less oil overall to keep the smoke cloud in check.
