Re: Premix Apocalypse
Greetings: I respect your opinions. Race tuners usually know. Discussion points: Round town riding differs from racing considerably. A fixed rate of oil delivery won't correspond to varying lubrication needs like a throttle- controlled pump. Fouled plugs are cheap but changing them by the side of t...

Your's and Kenny's logic is so far out in left field. What you are saying in effect is the oil injection system is defective and no one should run it even on a stock motor. Since in 3400 miles I've never had a problem with mine, I just don't buy it. Beside an easier way to go is retain the oil inje...

I'm going to say this because I've met those who did. Don't use the oil injector with a big bore kit. Premix only. Your's and Kenny's logic is so far out in left field. What you are saying in effect is the oil injection system is defective and no one should run it even on a stock motor. Since in 34...

If your bike is running good, leave the settings alone unless you're having issues to begin with. If you tune the carb now then put on the new filter, pipe and all, you'll have to start all over again with the jetting so save the effort until after you put on all the upcoming parts. Lots of things c...

On the Dio engines, the air is sucked in from the exhaust/silencer side, pulled into through the shroud, through the cooling fins (spark plug area) and out the left side where your carb/manifold sits. The fan shroud consists of 2 pieces, the big (grill) portion and the backside piece where the air a...

Let me get to the point quickly by saying this. If your bore is 50cc (stock bore), you're going to lose a ton of power so the easiest things to do is... 1. Take off that pipe and run the S pipe (which isn't a bad pipe) or 2. Upgrade your bore to 72cc. The PG pipe is a high rev pipe even for a 72cc b...

Is your bike still running? Believe it or not most bikes tend to run better after the first seize, I wouldn't go changing it unless you really notice that something's wrong. You could simply switch to a higher premix ratio (more oil) and upjet. If you're set on buying a bore kit, I'd say that you ca...

In Hawaii nobody that I know of runs more than 32:1 which is 4oz to the gallon, this is ALOT of oil and will smoke out the back noticeably. The oil most modded moped riders use is Castor 927 which is a very thick premix oil that's mixed in at 32:1 per the label on the bottle. I personally use AMSOIL...

Guys, lay off the plug chops. Plug chops are only really critical on non-stock scooters. Most people don't do them right anyway, so let's start with the basics. Sounds like the bystarter is closing up after 30 seconds (by design) and once it does, your scoot quits running. I think it's most likely ...
