Ok, so you're not getting gas. Easy. Your carbeurator is not clean enough. I could just be like some guys on here and say, "Clean your carb, again and again and again and again..." but I won't. First, it sounds like your petcock is working fine. If it flows gas out of the line when you suc...

ohh...I see.....so, I'm going to guess the height off of the rim is another different measurement, right? Just like on car tires.

What about height? I assume that 2.50x10 means 2.5 inches wide by 10 inches tall.

How tall can they go? I just don't want to have to do this by trial and error.

Tires for Spree...

Okay, so I would like to get some wider and taller tires for my Spree. Here is Lansing, we have HORRIBLE roads, and whenever I hit a pot-hole, I bounce around like a hooker at a bachelor party. Sorry if that offends anyone. Maybe. Any who, does anyone know what tire sizes will fit on ye olde Spree, ...

Ok, doing the thumb over the spark plug hole doesn't seem to always work. Look at my bike, 1986 Spree. Runs excellent. But, if I put my thumb over the spark plug hole and crank it, it definitely does not push my thumb out of the hole. Also, when I hook my bike up to a compression tester, it reads 50...

70 mph on Spree is suicidal.....35mph was crazy fast enough for me. Heck, I hit a little bit of slush going 30 about 2 months back, and it was enough to rip the front wheel sideways and crash me.

well, as much as I'd love to actually buy it, I somehow don't think the wife would agree (or be too happy about it....). Basically, the point I'm trying to make is that, when some FNG comes in here and asks "How do I make my Spree go faster?", you shouldn't just give him the "Swap a d...

Where the heck do you guys find dio or se50 motors, anyways?

So, just a question...it seems like everyone talks about just swapping a dio or se50 motor into a Spree to make it go faster. Not only that, the way they say it seems quite condescending, like, "Just swap a dio into it, idiot!" So, my question is, if it's so simple, where the heck are thes...

actually...I'm seeing quite a few ceramic coating operations out there, for quite reasonable prices.....we could benefit from the top of the pitons being coated. for instance....maybe even the cylinder walls...

The only reason I brought this up is from people saying that overheating was the limiting factor on power on these engines, I was merely trying to point out there are other ways to help dissipate that heat (other than water cooling, which might actually be more expensive than an Al block). Oh, and t...

Question......why not an aluminum block?

I hear of everyone talking about how you can only make as much power (heat) as you can shed. I know these bikes have an aluminum cylinder head on them, but has anyone made an aluminum block? I know it has a lower melting point, but, doesn't aluminum dissipate heat so much faster than iron does? I do...
