So, been a while...
Sorry it's been so long since my last post, been busy with life, mothballed the Spree for a month and a half. I recently got around to getting a carb gasket kit and new intake gaskets (along with the proper spark plug, not just an "equivalent"). After installing all of these, if I choke th...

Hmmm...scratch that, new problem. About 2 hours after I took the bike out, I wanted to show it to my 3 year old. Problem was, I couldn't get the d*** thing started. I hadn't touched anything since I rode the bike 2 hours before, and it was running fine when I shut it off. I tried to choke it at the ...

As I took the carb to work, I cannot send pictures (maybe when I get home, we'll see how the kids are doing). But, I'll try to explain in words. I take a nice, 8 LED light and the carb into a dark room. I then hold the LED light right up to where the throttle cable screws into the carb. I turn the c...

Carb is officially clean, let's see if it works now!
I can officially see a wee bit of light through my idle jet. It took 6 times, but I can confidently say that my carburetor is clean. Now, I just need to hook it up to the Spree and see how she runs. I'll keep you guys posted, you've been an amazing help.

Oh, ok, this is easy. Your idle jet is still clogged. They're a serious PITA to clean. It took me officially 4 times cleaning with spray carb-cleaner and compressed air, and then another 2 times cleaning with ucky dip-style carb cleaner and compressed air. As of writing this, I still have yet to rea...

If you're having trouble setting the idle, I'm going to assume that you waited a good 5 minutes for the bike to warm up (so the bystarter can engage). If you RPMs are still bouncing around, your carb may still be dirty, or you may possibly have an air leak somewhere in your intake (usually somewhere...
