Parts source?

So I bought the Elite 50 that was in the For Sale section. It needs a new throttle cable and a front brake cable. I tried lubing with PB Blaster to loosen things up, but no luck. Is there an online source you guys recommend or should I just go to the dealer?

Thanks

Even Krylon's primer was getting weird. Speaking of weird, I'm typing this from your neighborhood. About a mile from XNA airport. Anyway, I'll play with it some more this weekend when I get back home. There are some Sprees on my local Craigslist I may have to look at. One is willing to trade it for ...

We all know 2-strokes smoke. The RZ riders claim an increase of 20% hp without the cat. Not a great system and I sure would not want to lose 20% of the Spree's meager power, but to claim it can't be done when it already has (cat on a 2-stroke) is just silly. If you really want to be green, get a Vec...

Wow! He just showed you a 1980s carburated 2-stroke with catalytic converters and you still won't accept that it can be done. I guess I don't "comprend" very well either.

My stock belt was in such bad shape I had to eyeball it. So far so good. We'll see. Being an American, I don't do metric. Maybe it will stretch? Anyway, it was only $10. How much is a stock Honda belt?

I just bought Krylon for Plastic. The only shade of red they make. Pretty close match. Unfortunately, they say it requires no prep or primer. I wiped it down with thinner to make sure it was clean. Paint didn't stick in some places. I did the floorboard (badly faded) and the headlight shroud (worn t...

Newbie here.

My daughter won the "Killing Spree" at the San Francisco Scooter Girls rally! I am fixing it up for her. I have asked a couple of questions in the tech section. My scooters are an '06 Vespa GTS 250 and an '08 Genuine Buddy 150. I bought the Buddy in Cleveland, Ohio and rode it home to the ...

Yes it is. This does not help with my question. I could use this code to have a custom color mixed at the autobody paint supply store, buy a spray gun and connect it to my compressor and shoot the bodywork. Let me try again. Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf, Duplicolor or Krylon or other major b...

Thanks and belt info

I thought you guys didn't like me. It took several hours to get approved! I just wanted to say thanks. Coming from the world of Ve$pa parts, I was amazed to learn that an automotive v-belt can be used for the drive belt on a Spree. I looked at the belt and it was almost in two. Auto Zone had a "...
