ok, i dont thing i am going to try this till i get a beat up muffler. my muffler is in suprisingly good condition, so ill wait.thanks for the tips tho.it would probably work if i just welded in a washer with a 1/2 in dia hole wouldnt it?that way if it is too much restriction i can always make it lar...

carb

i bought a carb off ebay so do i go by the air screw specs on that year spree or the year carb.how can i tell what year the carb is or does it even matter.its running good now so i guess i shouldnt mess.

my spree has been sitting awile so it probably would be a good idea to change the tranny oil.where is the drain/fill plug located and what kind of oil should i use?

its hard with these people.no one seems to see stop sighns around here.my friends bike seemed to run fine without a muffler, but ill experiment on a old spree first.thanks

update

i have sucessfully put in the sterio and it works. the batt has enough power to keep the pre-sets.the only problem is it needs to be cranked to hear it over the eng. and it tends to go off for a sec when the blinkers are on.it was so worth it :twisted: now im putting one in another spree for someone.

ok,i got it working. it was the plug after all.i robbed one off of my honda hobbit.seems to have more power now too because the spark is stronger.would the problem i had with too much oil cause the plug to do this?just wondering. i straightened out the oil problem too.

wont start

oh,boy isnt this fun.today i went to start the spree and it started for a few secs then died.it wont start again.it has spark.a full tank of good gas. it sputters like it wants to start every once an awhile.this sucks! :evil: oh and yes its getting fuel.

ok, i guess im an idiot. i go to pull out the oil pump last night an the what im assumeing is a vacume line that comes out of the intake is disconnected. i put it back on and take the spree out at about 10 and now it has power.
