Re: Gyro mods?

ok, found a honda dealer today who can get me dunlop tires for $36.50 each on the rear. and the rear brake lever for $9. But they wont help me with how to mod it for my friend at stop lights. I might do the piston swap too, so I need to rejet for the extra heat created with higher compression?

Re: 1985 Aero 50 Carburetor help

but I'm not the best judge. When you say "the needle" are you referring to the tiny silver thing that attaches to the float and goes into a little hole? (and it moves up/down when the float moves up/down)?? Yes, that is the needle. you can't always tell from looking,in fact you rarely can...

Re: clutch?...piston ring?....gnomes?

I checked the pressure by putting some oil under the spark plug and now i can scoot along at 1.5 mph. does this mean its probably not bad rings. no, it means it is not worn rings. with worn rings you would notice a big difference. It does not rule out bad rings because the oil does not really affec...

Re: 1985 Aero 50 Carburetor help

the float valve fails to close fully. for sure the problem. the valve is not sealing 100% so too much gas is coming into the carb bowl. this gas comes out the overflow tube (at top of carb bowl) on a good carb. a clogged carb or a really old carb will not have this overfill release hose and the ove...

Gyro mods?

I haven't seen anything in a couple years on gyro mods. Has anything come up with the recent factories opening for old scooter engine mods? Mine is an '85 Gyro S. Thanks. on a side note: Any recommendations for tires on this? Is there a way to lock the gyro upright without having the rear brakes on?...

Re: Spree vs. Razz drag race.

i have a razz frame with a vino 125 in it if anybody wants it, Is this actually done? I have often wondered about something like this but with the chain drive on the razz, I was curious how it would hold up with a added power. I would think the chain drive would also count against the razz in this ...

The edge of the belt is what gets grabbed and then squeezed, the teeth are to releave the heat and keep the belt together when it is going around the pully (in basic terms).

Re: Most amount of miles you drove on your moped in a day?

I comply with all the laws (just had it registered as a moped is all) I wasn't even speeding, the only part that was illegal was that the dio went 35 and law is limited to 30. But this does bring up another point when looking at how many miles your scooter has, it may be misrepresented by the odomet...
