Re: Go cart swaps of yore
Shelby eventually got around to stuffing the 460 Ford in there. and Ford didn't build the car, the engines were just bought from The Ford Motor Company for the car.

Re: Most amount of miles you drove on your moped in a day?
Also just wondering after how many miles did you need to replace the rings on your elite? I just did last week and I saw it had a 25 over piston. so I know it was done at least once but possibly done early do to a seize. I did look at another aero 50 and the guy claimed that it was factory rings an...

Re: Most amount of miles you drove on your moped in a day?
Should of also added a second question while making this thread, how many miles does your moped(s) have on it? I have 9500 on the elite E (has at least one rering job), 7000 on the dio (don't know about the rings). I have seen several close to the 10,000 mark and a couple that have even turned the ...

Re: Cleaning solution...
for a general cleaner, I prefer Blue Coral All Purpose Cleaner & Degreaser. It cleans most anything in the engine area but is not as harsh as gas or carb spray. So it only cleans, it does not eat or discolor anything. As a bonus, it is 100% USA. http://www.bluecoral.com/EXTERproducts.asp?page=1_5

Re: NOS in a spree
there are kits and refill tanks online for them. we did it to a jog once and it made a huge difference but it wasn't a reasonable wet shot like Kenny said. the motor was bad so we figured why not go all out with it and it was fun for about 15 minutes

Re: Quick question about oil
If you can't find the castrol 2t, make sure to use a quality 2 stroke injector/injection oil, but if you forget to check it periodically and you are low while out and about, crap gas station stuff is better than running dry.

Re: What compression reading should i be seeing?
The lowest compression I have seen on a running unit is 60 psi but it would barely go anywhere, honda specs compression to be 114 to 172 psi as good but I agree with devonex, 90 psi is just fine.

Re: rims
trials tires suck in the mud, they just fill up and become slicks. look for an enduro tire for real traction on both street/mud. trials are ok for street and grass/rock but not mud. and I don't think they look as good as true knobbies. Kenny is right about finding a DOT knobbie in this size, most gu...
