Re: rims
Remember that knobbies are not meant for street use and do not grip pavement nearly as well as street ties. straight line and easy corners they are fine (on my elite E and several bikes) it is hard corners or wet pavement that they break traction easy. btw, some knobbies are meant for street use, c...

big bore cooling?
I am thinking about big boring a dio but I don't know about cooling. Do I have to buy a special oversized shroud and block cover or make my own to accomodate the bbk size with the air cooling? I know I will have to upjet but that can't handle all the cooling. I was thinking about chopchop's kit beca...

Re: rims
I also doubt they would just slip on but with enough time and money, anything is possible.

Re: Most amount of miles you drove on your moped in a day?
I just read about a fellow about to embark on SanFran to Alaska Arctic Circle on a Metropolitan. There's a whole thread about his preperation and plans at Adventure rider or somethin' like that. Grizzlies can run over 30mph! I hope he knows that.  Some motorcycle magazine writer did th...

Re: Old school 3 Wheeled 2 stroker
that was common with the yamaha BW200 and BW350. the rear tire was so big that they came from the factory with a jackshaft drive.Kenny_McCormic wrote:I have always wanted a Gyro just to make a bolt in rearend out of some excessively large bike engine.

Re: Quick piston question (Doh!)
Also depending on miles logged, you may wish to assess why you've got so much carbon buildup and correct. I haven't noticed carbon buildup under the rings of the 2 strokers I've rebuilt. Without oil rings, the oil in the system keeps the rings wet. So there's a problem with that much carbon in both...

Re: Old school 3 Wheeled 2 stroker
I thought a gyro would go faster than 30mph. but that one is cool, I've never seen one with that color scheme.
Edit: bought one and they go a solid 30mph but can reach 35 with no head wind and a long flat straight.

Re: More Than 1 Bike
Dude can own more than 1 bike, and appreciate each machine for what it is. Of course, but I notice a lot different type of attention when I am on my Elite E (ghetto ped) as compared to the Ultra Classic (standard mods) and totally different from the envy of the ct110(bone stock). Now back to the wr...

Re: Questions about a 2001 Honda Elite SR i just bought.
I tried to tell him that its tough to find the right oil and the best bet would be somewhere that sells scooters or motorcycles but he feels he should beable to grab some 2 stroke injector oil at a autozone hehe. Ok. Will see. it is easy to find the oil, its just finding quality oil that can be mor...

Re: Need Help!
have you checked the airbox/filter? In storage, I have had everything from rodents to wasp nests in there and that really clogs it up, acting as a fixed choke. This means it will start well but eventually idle ruff as it warms the motor and when given more gas it can't suck the air it needs to keep ...
