Re: Ruckus/metro variator... works great in my 87 areo

I do have a few varis buuut.... no ramp plates. They are used w/ some of the aftermarket ruck varis like the Posh I have in the ruck. You can get a brand new KN vari from battlescooter.com for about 50 bucks, it comes w/ a back plate and the ramp sliders. The KN is "lower geared" and seems...

Re: VariAeroed

Greetings: All the Aero50 models were equipped with varios. This thread is about upgrading the device to a reportedly higher-performance Ruckus unit. You shouldn't text while riding, especially on a curve.:) not true... some were equiped with a spree motor. i belive 84 and earlier. ill do some more...

Re: Ruckus/metro variator... works great in my 87 areo

first of all what year is your aero? if it is a variated model year it will have the drive boss (drive shaft adapter) as the stock part. if you have a non- variated model you will not beable to install a variator to my knowledge (please correct me and direct me to a thread if im wrong... ive taken o...

Re: Ruckus/metro variator... works great in my 87 areo

oh .. and another tip as far as weights go. stay closer to the weight of your STOCK rollers for your bike. i ve found that these 2 smokes like there weights a lil on the heftier side.

Re: Belting

Greetings: That Sharpie trick is a good idea. I wonder if the length of the belt is the limiting factor here. As it rides up the drive face, the driven pulley loop reaches bottom and can go no farther, ya know? A worn belt might actually work better. I'd be concerned that a new 15.5mm belt might be...

ive seen a few issues on friends bikes where the slider "jammed" in the ramp causing the vari to not open back up on deccel.it was a quick fix to un jam the slider and be back on our way but it was kinda annoying, ive never had mine jam , but they were given to me after very light use, it ...
