So thought I would update the thread.

I got the front and rear brakes working along with a battery.

scooter has good take off but tops out about 40 so im looking to put some heavier rollers but I cant find the size I need ?

How is 500 for a beat scooter the best deal ever ? there is a modded jog a guy in ann arbor been trying to sell for 700 and its been for sale since last year.

the kymco speedo is pretty acurate and goes up to 100kph or 60 mph. hmmm well neither of mine were and a scoot shop owner confirmed most are "generous". Maybe they are only accurate when the are installed into a honda. :wink: Haha, Most of the kymco haters dont realize there riding a kymc...

Well said :thumbwink: .. But i do know this.. It may be. A 2005 but living on an island where there is kymcos hondas and yamahas (scooters ) of all kinds and set ups.. Stock to modded.. There are wayyyyy more (newer ) kymcos in the shops for repairs.. Honda elite 50's ad 80's everywhere out lasting...

Got it running and put about 20 miles on it today.

in ct two up riding on any scooter is illegal. you would need at least an elite 80cc.

Ok so I pulled the carb off looks perfect in it.

So who ever put it away pulled off a miracle.

here is how it sits.

I need to put the carb back on and replace the fuel lines and then patch the tube in the tire.

I gave it a shot of starting fluid and it started right up.

So the plan is replacing the fuel lines, tires and rebuild the carb.

I picked up this elite 80 yesterday for 150 and a old mini bike frame. It sat in a basement full of gas from 12 years but that saved it. I opened the tank and the gas while not fresh did not varnish in the tank (carb unknown) To get the carb off is a pain I have to remove the muffle and rear tire. S...
