Re: Newbie : Question about Elite R
Good to know, the pics the red pin-striping looks good. Well, I removed the pinstriping to replace it since it was damaged, but looks better without, so will leave as is. I also tried to make the sun-burned plastics look better with Armor-all but did nothing, used baby oil and looks great...LOL! :P

Re: Spark plug question
Interesting. I purchased this plug from a Honda motorcycle dealer! He even showed me NGK's catalog, no more "A's"! I don't know what to say...Canada thing again, maybe. "Wide Open Throttle" makes sens, thanks! (again, I'm told the HSA is no longer available) They lie. I just boug...

Re: Spark plug question
Ok, got myself a BPR8HS, I'm told the HSA is no longer produced by NGK  , I'll be able to try it and check it after a while, if it fits my style better than the BPR6HS (again, I'm told the HSA is no longer available) since I want to ride at max speed for a long commute I want to do. The "...

Re: Spark plug question
Thanks! Yes both 6 and 8 are mentionned in the book, and I did see something about the 4 on the net, but nothing on the 7. Still, is riding at full speed for 10 minutes considered enough to replace to an 8, or is it an hour? I don't ride very far, the scoot is only for fun, but I'd like to keep it a...

Spark plug question
Hello all!
In my owner's manual, it mentions "If driving at high speed for long distances, switch to colder spark plug".
What is the standard? What is considered "long distances"?
I need inputs guys.
Thanks.

Re: Newbie : Question about Elite R
Wow! Good job on that page! My scoot can now be seen by the masses...hehe! By the way, the red pinstriping around the grey stickers must have been done by the first owner of my scoot, it does not look original. Thanks again. Thanks for permission....I just spend 4 hours re-writing my SE50, SB50 and ...

Re: Newbie : Question about Elite R
Thanks for the good word! Go ahead, use whatever you need on your website. I could also email them. For an '86, it sure looks like mine... I think I saw an identical one (red/white) on the "post your photos" thread, a guy from Nova Scotia if I remember correctly. Nice pictures....thanks a ...

Re: ****Official Picture Post****
My "weathered" STOCK 1989 Elite R. Model that seems to have been for Canada only... Does 70km/h (44mph), not bad for its age!

Thanks guys. Wheelman : I forgot to answer your question, indeed NO glove box and NO room for the helmet under the seat. This may help, owner's manual says my scooter is model SE50K, does it make sense? I will post a better photo later, once the machine is cleaned and polished. It has over 8000miles...
