Re: Problems with corsa round 2
Hard starting and hi revving make me think an air leak on the intake. Do you have a crack in a vacuum line or vacuum petcock. Of course "revving through the roof" might mean a throttle cable not seated

Re: my build is done! 119cc Honda Elite E
Neat job. If it were mine I would try and strengthen the frame. I did my SB by wrapping the main tube with carbon fiber cloth.I added between 1/8-3/16" thick and the plastic fit back over without any cosmetic change. Made the frame a ton stiffer.
Nice suspension upgrade.

Re: Elite vs Zuma
We have both an elite SB and a zuma. The elite has an 87cc cast iron engine and is very torquey. At anything above idle the clutch is engaged. It weighs something like 115-120 pounds. The Zuma with the Athena cylinder isn't quite as fast but nearly so. The clutch has to be set a lot tighter. To the ...

Re: Spree Highway Speed Pipe build
I did about the same thing on a Yamaha Zuma 50 http://veloliner.com/zuma50/pocketpipe.JPG I ran it for while but thought that on the zuma with a stock cylinder it needed a lower rpm band and cut the center section out and welded in a piece of tubing. Ending up with this. http://veloliner.com/zuma50/...

Re: Abuse on a moped?
Bear Do you practice shooting accurately while you ride? My peripheral vision doesn't extend into telepathy, I can't read what is in someones heart. Be careful and lucky. Riding on two wheels is dangerous. I know because I practice "Situational Awareness" Which means you are always aware o...

Re: Abuse on a moped?
I spend more miles on my bicycle than my scooter. Would agree that sometimes bullying goes too far with tragic results. I think it is human nature to remember the close calls and not the people who treat you with respect. I spent sometime in South America about 15 years ago. There it was the bigger ...

Re: trail tech vapor
I have a trail tech on my SR500. It is a great little unit. My SR doesn't use a battery with power for the back light being generated with the engine running. There is a backup battery in the TT to keep your wheel size and time. http://www.veloliner.com/sr500/stings.JPG On my Elite E I put a Sigma b...

Re: Mixed Roller Weights ?
I have mixed weights when I didn't have the "right" amount of weight. I have done 3 and 3, 4 and 2, and 5 and 1. I have also drilled weights with a step drill to lighten them. I should add: By the sound of your question I wonder if you really want less rpm? Unless you step up your contra s...

Re: runs like crap...what am i missing?
You only tried a vary narrow range of jetting. I would try something leaner. Is the engine free rev or is it being bogged down by the transmission.

Re: old rider, new 86cc Elite E
First post in like forever. We keep the Lil SB at the farm and it is 3 miles to the first pavement. When I built it, I moved the engine back a couple of inches and used the stock shock and mounts. It sat pretty low and with the shock laid down it reduced the leverage on the shock making it softer th...

Re: frame strenthening
My solution a year ago was to wrap the bare frame with a layer of fiberglass then wrap it with carbon fiber. The bike is a lot stiffer and has no external braces, looks stock. Didn't add much weight and used only hand tools nothing fancy. I did a write up here: http://hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic...
