regarding air

I've tried both of the air suggestions already. less air and more air don't really change anything. It can't pull its own weight. If I get the idle really high, I can get up to a few miles per hour before stall.

update...not yet

O.k., This weekend, I replaced the hoses and air filter and rechecked the fuel stop valve. Consider all of them ruled out. They are all in working order. I've also added a separate briggs and stratton fuel filter. For the record, I have also cleaned out the tank, its creating no more residue. I test...

Jerry,

Thanks for your help. I'll get right on those issues. incedentally, I was speaking to my spouse and she informed me that the previous owener was likely over 300 pounds when he rode the spree. Knowing that's over the weight limit, any chance that affects things?

new issues

Allrighty, I managed to clear out the idle jet. After trying soaking, spraying and air, I actually used vacuum. I'm confident that the carb is clean. Great news! The spree idles great now. My wife took it for a five minute run, and it ran fantastic, and then all of the sudden died. It still idles gr...

update and idle jet

Hello all again! Thank you for all of the great questions and advice. Much of the same stuff is covered in previous questions. About two months ago, I posted on a spree that I had obtained from my wife's grandpa. It has only 200 miles on it, but had sat for 10+ years and wouldn't start. Advice given...

Newbie would love assistance

Greetings all!, This past weekend, in Detroit, I was willed an'86 Honda spree from my wife's grandfather. I've never owned a spree or any other kind of moped before. The spree has only 250 miles on it. It has been sitting for 10+ years in a garage. Prior to that it was used by an old guy at motor-ho...
