hey gang, been slowly working on my 84 spree, is there a way to bypass the autobystarter? with a manual choke or something? i have contacted a couple people on here but they say they wont sell auto bystarters becuase they are usually broken, and i cant find one anywhere, what do i do?

Ok i just installed a new piston and rings in my 84 spree, everything was done properly, and istalled properly, compression is ok, but my spree will still not start, the plug is dry after i try to start it, does this mean its not getting fuel? do i need to rebuild the carb? i am putting a new petcok...

hey all i couldn;t find info on this, what is the best way to clean carbon off the cylinder head/ i don;t wanna scrape at it? i have access to a bead blaster, would that be safe??

yeah kinda....i bought it last year, it ran great for awhile then chunked out on me....i did some little things to it, i want to rip her down and give her a good clean before i insure it this year, thinkin about getting it repainted as well....but yeah i would pretty much liek to rip it down replace...

Hey all, I am trying to find a step by step with photos, on taking apart and putting back together my entire 1984 honda spree....I know i can do it, i just want something to guide me a little bit! Can anyone post a link for me?

Ok so i had a post on here before, but now we have a new set of problems, my 84 spree wasn't starting, so i checked teh spark, charged that bettery, and cleaned the carb and air filter, it started fine woked great, drove it that afternoon while i was driving the scooter died on me, it started back u...

ok, so i had a loose part on my carb, whick i tightened, how do i check if i have a vaccuum leak??, everythign looks alright otherwise,

it cranks fine it sounds like but it won't turn over, the only thing i noticed when it did start is that it idled a little high and when i let off the the throttle and applied the brake it felt like it was still accelerating a little and pushign agaisnt the brake...it ran fine and then all of a sudd...

hey i am new to the scooters, but i just bought an 84 spree its pretty sweet, anyways it ran great and i thinki put premium fuel in it, and since then it has not been running good and not starting any tips?
