Re: 1984 Elite xl?
Just look for a 94+ elite. I find them from time to time around tampa. hmmm i wonder if the AF16 will bolt in with out issues? Yes it would. Would hook into wire harness without any problem. From my roller-coaster ride with the Af05, i wish i had just dropped in a dio from the start. As it stands no...

Re: Ch150 Exhaust leak
It's not steel - it's aluminum, i was wrong But it is hard and solid. Nothing like what i replaced it with. The new ring has only been installed/compressed once. here are some picks. http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/1550/07292010102.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/6538/07292010103.jpg http://...

Re: How to achieve the polished rims look???
Why not media blast them (or even pressure wash) and then 'polish' the aluminum? It wouldn't be chrome, but it would be still pretty cool. You could wax it and it might look good for a few months. then re polish and the like.
Man sounds like a whole lot of work when you write it out.

Ch150 Exhaust leak
I hear these occur often in the Ch150/250's. So the bike came with an exxhuast that sounded like a locomotive so i changed the gasket. The "gasket" that came out looked like a 1/4" right of steel that was shoved up in there. no aluminum gasket. I thought it was crazy with a felt circl...

Re: No Fire???
Well, i'm at a loss. It feels like a clogged exhaust, or a fuel issue, but I can't say much more than just that feeling. If it doesn't but putter a bit when there is fuel in the cylinder and air can get in, then air can't get out. But i don't know as much as you about this particular engine. How lon...
