Re: big block se50?
With enough time and skill/money it can happen. The trouble is most 150's are horizontal nowadays and this causes all sorts of problems with hanging and clearance and length.skip1701 wrote:Hi all.. i've also considered putting a 150 4 stroke in the se50 and a 250 in my dead zuma..call me crazy.

Re: big block se50?
Greetings: What happened to the SE engine? You mean the kymco Zx50 engine. See the madmax build . It is running really well. Cruises at 40. Been close to 50 on it and the take-off is crazy good. But, it is pushed by the wind very easily and on a 40mph road where I cruise it is slightly underpowered...

To cruise at 55mph you might need to go with a native 150cc motor.

Re: indiana riders beware!!!!
Yeah, more money does make entry into riding harder, but I know i would see fewer reckless thoughtless scooter riders in town if they all needed the Rider Safety course. I am contemplating taking the course myself to get the motorcycle endorsement ( the course is required for M class license in FL)

Clean the carb.
Check the air filter for crud/oldness.
Clean the carb again.
Make sure the petcock works well and replace fuel lines if you feel like spending the money.
Then clean the carb again.

There is a law in FL that all unleaded should contain 10% ethanol. In North Dakota i felt like it was higher.

Can using a different additive help offset this?

Number one lesson:
Don't be afraid of the job. You don't have to pay someone else to do it.
Number two lesson:
Money can always fix your mistakes.

I am in need of some of the screws in the bowl of the carb. Are they metric #8 or #6?
