Running a little rich, fouling plugs 2000 Honda Elite 50
I had my scoot rolling almost all summer. But she backfired signaling her anger at me and then wouldn't start. Plug was pretty black. Replaced, but to no effect. I'm trying to figure out what's making it run so rich. I put a new throttle cable on -- should I check that? It's got a pollini head I thi...

Replacement seat for 2000 SR50 elite
I see a bunch of covers and seats on ebay that look like they'd fit my 2000 elite sr50 but is there a good place to confirm what seat would fit? Thanks.

Re: Fuel not running to carb
Ok, got the fuel running. Not to figure out this carb issue. Will run on the second kick then stall after a while and not start back up. Hoping it's just a matter of setting the idle and air just right and that it's just very delicate in that regard.

Fuel not running to carb
2001 Honda Elite 50SR Really starting to hate this scooter. Replaced petcock, fuel and vac lines, plug, carbeurator, throttle cable Fuel is not getting to the carb for some reason. I've checked that the needle is in proper place. Cleaned the carb several time and now have no idea why gas isn't flowi...

Re: Cleaning Kickstarter Spring -- What is the best solvent?
Finished putting it back together last night. It's a little tricky. The hard part is getting the spring to sit flat and getting the clamp on it. I had a friend help hold the gear over the compressed spring as I pushed the spring so it was centered around the shaft. Works great now. Next job is figur...

Re: Cleaning Kickstarter Spring -- What is the best solvent?
I thought getting the spring back on would be a huge challenge, but I'll rethink that.
Gonna take it off and let it soak.
This is what scared me off.

Tightening the hose around the vacuum nipple solved my problem.

Cleaning Kickstarter Spring -- What is the best solvent?
00 Honda Elite SR 50 My kick is making an awful whining noise and it's not retracting fully after a kick (sometimes it hangs just below its return). So I took the cover off (struggled with that stupid clip) and noticed there's a lot of belt debris coating the spring. I don't want to take the spring ...

Re: Gas not flowing from tank
Yeah sucking on the vaccum tube brings gas. Maybe the lines are too loose on the nipple.

Gas not flowing from tank
2000 Honda Elite SR50
So I put a new petcock on and cleaned the carb but gas isn't flowing.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

2000 Honda elite brain teaser
At second kick she starts and runs for a while but will stall then not turn over again. I cleaned the carb thoroughly, changed the petcock and don't know what to do next. The plug is a little fouled. I'm gonna put a new plug in. It did smell like gas before the new petcock. Anyone have any guesses?

Gas Line Runs Freely
So it looks like the floats are the only thing keeping my 2000 Honda Elite from gassing out. I realized this while cleaning the carbs. The manual says to blow air through the vac line. I'll likely get a new vac line, but has anyone had this problem? Would this cause a scooter to not start? I kick it...

Re: Ridiculously high idle - Idle screw has no effect
Throttle cable was incorrectly installed. Idle still high but not ridiculously high. Ran for a couple minutes then when I hit brake she stalled and didn't want to start back up. Thanks again. Will keep fiddling.
