Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90

Did I mention how nasty dirty this thing is? I lugged most of it over to a DIY car wash and the caked on oil/sand just "laughed" at the pressure wand. So... I'm stuck chipping away at it. So far a non-toxic oven cleaner has been my best friend, that and some $1 dollar store pot scrubbers. ...

Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90

Good to see you back into the swing of things... I found an example of RV90 that received a Lifan engine...hopefully you will revive the 90 smoker. Wow.. That's a beauty. I'm definitely reviving the 90cc 2 smoke with only 1900 miles I figure I can't go wrong. Happy early Turkey Day everybody...

Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90

Man... this thing is crazy dirty. It's a mixture of 2 stroke oil and fine NM sand. Rinse and repeat several times over. I guess the old guy lost the oil cap? He put in aluminum foil to keep the oil in... yeah that worked like a champ. I got a new oil cap and put it into place. http://i1198.photobuck...

Re: Winter Project - Suzuki RV90

Good luck, this is another good place for 2 stroke fun, mostly RD350s but lots of the guys do smaller stuff too. Several of the posters over there have highly accomplished careers in the 2 stroke world. http://www.2strokeworld.com/forum/index.php thanks Clem, I did "find" that forum yeste...

...way to score Master Chief... :thumbwink: Have missed you comments, and look forward to following your progress here with the RV90. Here in TN, the state allows vintage plate like yours to be registered on "Antique" class vehicles. Please please... Call me Senior Chief. LOL. I would've ...

Winter Project - Suzuki RV90

Just picked this up from the local humane society donation site. Old guy had it picked up at his home, provided the key and the 1975 dated title for it. I'm crossing my fingers they will let me keep the 1972 plate for it. 1900 miles or so. I didn't know where else to share my 2 stroke madness other ...

Re: Urban Express Dee-luxe

Nice work. You said you always wanted one of these.

I had success finding my tires at treatland. I think the rear one was the harder one to find in that size.

Ah memories.

Re: 82 Urban Express front tire question

Treatland carries a 2.25x16 when it is in stock.

I would think a 2.50 would clear no problem. But the one I used on my UE is the one above.

You can always call for status.

Re: Final Scooter

Congrats. I sold both of my 110's last year for 1800 each both had less than 500 miles. Luckily I only paid 2000 each plus tax from the dealer during the dead of winter.

Your idle jet is plugged. Clean carburetor (times 2) and re-test.

It's the socks and sandals that has me worried. I don't think you can pull that off until you reach your 50's.

He sent me a PM a few days ago. Hoping you make a full recovery Bear. Tony, I have been unavailable due to a scooter accident which almost took my life. I am doing a slow recovery. I suspect your bystarter circuit has a plugged passage. Fred _________________ Bear 45/70 Image '83 Aero 80 X 3 '84 Aer...
