I agree, with my spree i can pick it up and carry a short distance if need be. i cannot carry an elite for my life. That make a huge difference in the city. I also have the only spree in town, or so it seems, everyone drives those made in china rigs that end up being lawn ornaments after 400 miles.

so, would running a larger battery in the spree cause any problems? It didnt cross my mind before, but i was wondering if that may have lead to my regulator failure? Its a $25 battery from walmart for a snow mobile.

when i first got my spree i had a similar issue. i was able to slightly turn the engine over, however you could tell that it wasnt a ''smooth movin' well oiled machine''. with my experience busting numerous sockets and a cheap wrench or two from wal-mart im going to wait and hope that santa brings around a quality meter. i just bought another regulator, so when that gets here will will see how i fair with the electrical woes.

ok, im going to buy a regulator and cross my fingers that its the only problem. Im also going to replace the 55watt h3 with a 35watt. Its the lowest wattage i can find without ordering online. noiseguy, what stores are you talking about? i live in the city and have called every store in my area not ...

i have no way to test the voltage right now. being so tight on cash, and only having the spree as transportation, i think im going to have to go with some sort of macgyver battery powered set up until i get enough capital to fix the old girl.

i rewired the light into the main headlight circuit. it blew as soon as i gave it some gas. is there anyway to test the regulator?

1) What is the wattage of your driving light? its a 55 watt h3 2) Along with the aftermarket driving light, are you running the stock Spree headlight? no, my bulb blew. 3) Will your battery start your scooter and your turn signals work at idle w/o the driving light on? yes and yes. - my turn signal...
