Re: Where do you get your K&N filters?

I've noticed that some of you have K&N cone filters on your scooters and I was wondering where you got them. I looked on K&N's website but I couldn't find one that was like the ones that I seen here. BTW my scooter is an SE50 and I was wondering what the diameter of the carb inlet is? that ...

I got cheaper replacement headlight bulbs for my Quads at the local auto parts store. Less than half of what the dealer wanted and they also had upgrade bulbs available too. Since I don't night ride, I just got the standard bulbs.

wouldn't that be giving you worse gas mileage though since some of your mixture is going out in the exhaust, which would require more gas to be taken into the intake to get enough mixture to cause enough compression, but a small portion of it not burned? Exactly, The unburned mixture caused real hi...

Sounds more like a bad coil , plug wire, plug or stator than the CDI box. Good spark at cranking speed doesn't mean much except the motor will start. Sounds like something is getting warm and quits working properly. This is a classic bad coil symptom, but I've seen everything in the ignition system ...

Do a compression test. It sounds like you melted the piston. The compression should be 114 psi minimum. That's with the throttle wide open and cranking the engine over at least 5 times. Should have a warm engine, but since yours won't run do it cold.

With your engines 6.8 to 1 compression ratio, 89 octane is a waste of money, as little as that maybe. Cheap oil is bad. Running the manufacture's oil is smart, because you know they are not gonna put out junk oil and then warranty the engine.

Don't think their is. It's limited by the gear/pulley. Max rpm on any engine is controlled several factors. It's ability to pump air being the primary one. The amount of air it can pump is controlled by the CCs, the intake and exhaust port sizes (or valves and intake sizes on a 4 stroke), carb size...

Sounds like a VW and looks like one too, an old one. Notice the generator as apposed to an alternator.
