Re: Flash Scootertrash 4.2: The Rebirth & Degree Wheel, Man
IM NO EXPERT. but i read once that ideal duration for exhaust is around 190 so you seem to be good there. people tell me that you want your transfers at about 130 degrees though.

Re: Flash 4.1: Back in the Bin
I would like to add some thoughts. One thing that hasnt been mentioned is port timing. your port timing is alot different with that ministroke crank. That ruima bore on my stock crank doesnt clear the exhaust port and barley clears the transfers when all the way down to BDC. so when you shim the cyl...

Re: Flash 4.1: Ignition And Lift-Off

Re: It's alive! My 48mm taz kit roars to life.
I was told once that the exhaust port should be the same size at both ends. (opening at piston and opening at exhaust)
Anyone know if thats true?

Re: *GROUP BUY* -CT Manifold CarbonFiber Reedblocks-
The 6 petal compared to 4 petal reeds will improve the bottom end and mid range throttle response and performance. The old multiple carb adage applies here, "a lot of little holes is better than a couple of big holes." The top end will not be hurt and depending on the area of the reed ope...

Re: Fine-Tuning Flash IV: Temps <350
Greetings: Headbolts remained tight. Gave 'em an extra 1/6th turn anyway. Exhaust flange just a bit short of snug, with some smoke staining around the block; tightened them up a bit too. Now with needle 1 click rich of center felt a bit rich of ideal all over, with temps between 250 and 350 at all ...

Whats the difference in performance between the 4pedal and the 6? Do we just get the reeds or do they come with the block also? How is the block different from what comes with the ct manifold? thanks
