9 to 1 gears are for a derestricted stock bore, try 7 to 1 gears for a bore kit/ stock crank

Unless you do a basic derestriction don't even change the center spring.

The same guy that milled the stator bell which is bad for top speed now mills the keli pulley, I give him credit for trying, he is on craigslist Hawaii under scooter parts.

Unless you change the gear ratio you will burn up that bore kit, been there, done that 30 yrs. ago.

you can use the stock oil pump up to 76cc safety wired on full, just ran it and it was perfect, I should run the Japan DIO zx conversion trans which I have done 25 yrs ago on my 87 aero......

Born and raised in N.Y. we rented 1000 cc artic cat snowmobiles, if your 84 aero has a metal cylinder shroud I would leave it stock and replace the front pulley, get a high speed fan + intake and a cht. PM me with your email so I can send you pics of builds

Take off the top of the carb, stretch out the spring and see how it feels.

You can get the large japan dio rear pulley, shave the case bolts, use the stock belt for better take off or use the dio belt for more speed.

I have no problems stoping my Honda's from 70- to 100 plus mph, it must be a rider thing!

run it without the air filter and see how it runs.
