Re: smaller slot style main jets vs larger hex main jets

smaller slot style main jets vs larger hex main jets
Hey guys, My Keihin pwk runs these smaller (shorter) style 'slot style'/unscrew with a flat head type main jets and I'm wondering if running the larger (taller) hex style main jets are ok to run. Will they hit or interfere with the float bowl? Is this just a matter of running a different imulsion tu...

Re: Pre-mixing on the road?
I think Bear (who I rarely support) is simply stating it's just a pain in the a55 because: 1) There is room for error 2) You have to be able to measure on the whim (requiring a vessel to measure with) 3) It's messy and not as convenient as having the luxurious oil pump (but we all knew this going in...

Pre-mixing on the road?
All you pre-mix converted dudes -
If you plan on riding for longer than a tanks-worth, what is your strategy on the road?
Are you bringing a quart of oil and measuring cup everywhere you go?
Shaking the bike at the pump?!
Towing a 55 gallon fuel drum on wheels?

Re: Are those eBay carbs any good?
Here is the listing I was referring to previously in this thread Yes - probably looks like the world's sketchiest listing but I have no complaints http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Keihin-PWK-carburetor-main-jet-kit-repair-kit-/160685395145?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2569988cc9&vxp=...

Our issue is nobody actually lives in the city except me and maybe one or two others. Chicago obviously is extremely spread out.motormike wrote:...sheeesh...two months...still trying to get the first ride in ?

Re: how to replace crank seals
hmmm - are you familiar with anyone who sells smaller rated triple springs? Would this be comparable to a higher stall auto trans on a car?
