Should I get an Elite 80? No plastic, carb issue, fair price

I need some advice. I was offered an Elite 80 for 100 bucks. It's in rough shape, but only shows 3000 miles on the clock. The rear plastic is missing, the front plastic is cracked. The key is there, but the honda start button has been bypassed and a large Autozone start button is taking over that wo...

Re: Need a favor from someone in U.S....

If you can't find a Vendor that can get you what you need I will help you out.

In return I ask for... no additional money, but maybe an Australian bumper sticker or something like that.

PM me if you want.

Re: Ideas for some low profile mirrors?

I have a set of these:
Bar End Mirrors

I can see great. They make the scooter a bit wider, so i took the right side one off (so the scooter fits through my gate).

Re: PLease explain this

I heard crystal meth makes you develop stuff like this. :ndance: RZ Rob Nothing I ever came up with was this simple... You are going to need some overly complicated hose routings that actually double back onto themselves, some black marker drawings on the side, a little bit of bandage tape and... a...

Check http://books.google.com, search terms Honda Spree.
Adjusted for inflation in 2010 that is 848.50 USD. :*:

Yes, I know about the need for the filter.

Are you suggesting that is going to cure the locked up rear wheel?

I got the new Aero running... but driving it, not so hot

I bought a new Aero and posted about it over in the general discussion forums. Today I got the Aero running, without much work, certainly less than the Spree (that had a bad carburetor). The aero does not have an air filter in place as of now - in case this helps with the troubleshooting. The issue...

Re: Bought an Aero, how did I do?

It's alive. I put a new plug in it, used the wikispreedia to get the shop manual and see how the oil pump goes back together... then degreased the engine and underside. It starts right away, and the engine runs great. Driving it... not so great. Here is a link to my problem post over in the technica...

Re: Bought an Aero, how did I do?

Ok Ok, paid 100 bucks. total, out the door, with the key and the signed-but-not-dated title. 2 of the locks (seat lock and front glovebox ) are trashed. Side glovebox and ignition are OK. I'm taking it apart right now. The reason it has no compression is because it has no spark plug!! I'll also look...

Bought an Aero, how did I do?

There was an ad in the local CL for an Elite for sale, engine seized, not much money. I called and I was too late... but the guy said he had another, an Aero 50 that he would sell and deliver, from 100 miles away, if I was interested. The Aero does not run, but the battery is good and it turns the e...

At the risk of drawing the wrath of the bear... If the tube is punctured on the rim side the slime may not work well. Slime specifically states that the sealant is not effective for use against "snakebite" type damage to tubes or tires: " SLiME is not guaranteed to seal gashes from gl...

Re: Can anyone confirm this is a Honda scooter?

that is not mine, but it sure is gorgeous and I wouldn't mind owning it... I had a neighbor who owned one when I was a kid, and he let all of the neighborhood kids play on it, until we got it to run... They are currently being cloned by SYM (I highly doubt any parts are interchangeable) but look for...
