While looking for dd50 front brake pads on ebay, noticed a lotta other brands. The sym brand brakes r like $20 . Anybody try other brands?

I e-mailed 2 council members. One is the city council head, and he thanked me for my "perspective". I plan on sending another to talk about alternative transportation on Oahu, which we so desperately need. You can get all the council members email address from the city's govt website.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps ?
Trying to help friend get his moped back on the road. 5k total miles, purchased new. Bike was bogging, now won't start. Cleaned/checked air filter, spark plug has about 1k on it, cleaned exhaust port. What else should we check? Thinking the muffler could b clogged bcuz he was using cheap generic oil...

He has cited moped accidents and loud mopeds as the reason for proposed yearly registration fees, safety checks and required insurance. From what I heard, ethanol is bad/somewhat corrosive on certain engine components. Supposedly since ethanol is an alcohol, it can absorb more water than pure gas. High Octane Ethanol vs Regular Grade Non-ethanol
The high octane w/ethanol seems better performance wise on my stock bore dd50, but I know the ethanol-free is better for the longevity of the bike. Thoughts?
